Narcotics Anonymous (NA) meetings in Orange are free, peer-led and open when you want to stop using drugs. The Orange County Area of Narcotics Anonymous coordinates meetings in Orange and 20 of the surrounding cities. You have options to attend either in person or online.

Orange also offers several types of meetings. In addition to general discussion meetings, you’ll find a newcomer meeting, a men’s stag meeting and two women’s meetings. When you are looking for support, several options are available to find a meeting that feels like a good fit.

Finding an NA Meeting in Orange

The finder shows meetings near a location within the radius you choose. These are not only groups whose listed address sits inside the Orange city limits. That is deliberate.

Orange is hemmed in by Santa Ana, Anaheim, Garden Grove, Tustin and Villa Park. From most addresses in the city, a meeting one town over is closer than one across town. Results will regularly include those neighbors.

Meetings within Orange are available on most weekday evenings and on Sunday. The Orange County Area’s July 2026 schedule shows five groups meet weekly in the city.

Drug Use and Overdose in Orange County

Fatal overdoses have been falling in Orange County for several years. The most recent county figures show the lowest number of fatal overdoses in five years. Experts estimate that wider access to naloxone and treatment is driving the results.

• 407 fentanyl-related deaths in Orange County in 2024, down from 613 in 2023 and the lowest count in five years. 
• 68,641 predicted provisional drug overdose deaths in the United States for the 12 months ending February 2026. This is a decline of about 12 percent year over year.  
• Every person released from Orange County custody is supplied with naloxone and people receiving medication for opioid use disorder in the jails are trained to use it.

Treatment Options In and Near Orange

NA works hand in hand with clinical treatment rather than in place of it. What’s included in your treatment plan depends on the substance and how long you have been using. Your care may start with medically supervised detox and move through residential, intensive outpatient or standard outpatient programs.

Medication treatment for opioid use disorder includes methadone, buprenorphine and naltrexone. These are the standard of care and fully compatible with NA meetings. They lower your cravings and reduce overdose risk. Using medication does not disqualify you from the fellowship and support you receive from your peers.

Naloxone and Harm Reduction

Naloxone, often sold as Narcan, reverses an opioid overdose and is safe for a bystander to give even when you are unsure that opioids are involved in the overdose. The drug has no effect when opioids are not used. This means giving it when you are unsure carries no downside. Orange is one of the few cities in the county with a naloxone drop-in site inside the city limits.

• Pharmacies
  Sold over the counter with no prescription under California’s statewide standing order. CalRx-branded naloxone nasal spray has been available at $19 since January 2026.
• Fentanyl test strips
  Distributed free in California through the state Naloxone Distribution Project alongside naloxone kits.

California’s Good Samaritan law (AB 472) offers limited protection from arrest, charge and prosecution to anyone who seeks emergency medical help in good faith at the scene of an overdose.
