How NA Works in Boynton Beach
Boynton Beach is on the boundary between two NA areas, and the city is listed under both in the Florida Region’s coverage list. Either helpline helps you find a meeting. The Palm Coast Area provides meetings in the north and the MidCoast Area offers meetings in the south.
NA asks nothing of a newcomer beyond turning up to a meeting and having a desire to stop using drugs. You do not pay dues or fees and don’t need a referral.
- NA areas serving the city: Palm Coast Area’s helpline is (561) 848-6262 and the MidCoast Area’s helpline is (561) 393-0303.
- Cost: Free. NA groups are self-supporting. There is nothing to pay, no insurance to check and nothing to sign up for.
Meetings In and Around Boynton Beach
The finder at the top of the page searches by distance rather than by city limits. This information matters more in Boynton Beach than in most places.
One active NA meeting is currently listed inside the city limits and it is a closed meeting. Widen the radius by a few miles and the list grows quickly because the city is in the middle of a dense coastal run of towns. Lantana, Hypoluxo and Lake Worth Beach are north of Boynton Beach. Ocean Ridge is across the Intracoastal, and Delray Beach is immediately to the south.
Closed and open meetings have significant differences. A closed meeting is for people who identify as having a drug problem and who want to stop. Family members, partners and people who are not yet sure whether NA is for them can go to an open meeting.
Anyone looking for an open meeting should look nearby to Boynton Beach since the only meeting in the city limits is closed. Open meetings are recorded in Lake Worth Beach, Delray Beach and West Palm Beach, all within a short drive.
The format range also improves when you cross the city limit. Lake Worth Beach records beginner, women’s, LGBTQ+, candlelight, Basic Text and step study meetings. Delray Beach has discussion, Basic Text and step study meetings and has online meetings.
West Palm Beach has the largest and most varied list in the county and further south, Boca Raton has more open and discussion meetings. You can browse Florida’s NA meetings directory for a fuller list of meeting options.
The nearest cluster of meetings runs north along Federal Highway toward Lake Worth Beach and south toward Delray Beach. However, NA meeting schedules may change. The finder at the top of the page and the two area helplines are the current sources.
The Palm Coast Area helpline is answered around the clock by NA members who are trained volunteers. Callers can ask to speak with a man, woman or volunteer who speaks Spanish.
Substance Use in Florida
Florida’s drug deaths fell across every major category in the first half of 2025. The national count followed suit, falling for a third straight year. Fentanyl is still the drug most often involved in deaths statewide. Palm Beach County’s substance breakdown is covered in more depth on the West Palm Beach NA meetings page.
- 42% fewer deaths were caused by opioids in Florida in January through June 2025 than in the same months of 2024. Deaths caused by fentanyl were down 46% over the same period.
- 69,973 drug overdose deaths in the U.S. happened in 2025. This is down almost 14% from 81,313 in 2024 and a third consecutive annual decline.
These are statewide and national figures. Palm Beach County is reported as Medical Examiner District 15. Boynton Beach doesn’t publish citywide drug overdose death rates.
Getting Treatment In and Around Boynton Beach
NA meetings effectively provide support and healthy coping skills. These are important to your recovery journey and should be used alongside clinical treatment. Clinical treatment often begins with medically supervised detox and then leads to residential or outpatient programs.
Outpatient treatment can include intensive and standard counseling followed by aftercare. Many people use more than one of those over time. Treatment of opioid use disorder can include methadone, buprenorphine and naltrexone. These medications have the strongest evidence behind them and being on one does not keep you out of an NA meeting.
Buprenorphine and naltrexone can be prescribed in an ordinary medical office. This means you can get care close to home. Methadone is only dispensed through federally certified opioid treatment programs. These programs are fewer and further apart. This means the nearest one may be a drive north or south along I-95.
FindTreatment.gov filters treatment centers by ZIP code, level of care, medication offered and payment accepted. The SAMHSA National Helpline at 1-800-662-4357 is free, confidential and answered 24 hours a day. Our overview of treatment options for narcotics addiction explains what each level of care involves so you can make a better informed choice.
Naloxone Access in Palm Beach County
The FDA first approved nonprescription naloxone to be sold over the counter in March 2023. The Hanley Foundation also stocks free emergency Narcan cabinets. These cabinets are in publicly accessible buildings across Palm Beach County.
The foundation publishes the current cabinet locations. Under section 893.21 of the Florida Statutes, a person who seeks medical help in good faith during an overdose cannot be charged with drug possession on evidence obtained as a result of that call. The West Palm Beach page covers county naloxone access and the law in more detail.

NA Meetings in Boynton Beach: Questions and Answers
The only meeting listed in Boynton Beach is a closed meeting. What does that mean, and can I go?
A closed meeting is for people who identify as having a drug problem. You can walk in with proof or paperwork demonstrating drug use or having stopped using. Family members, a partner, or someone deciding whether NA fits, an open meeting is the right one to attend instead. The finder above will show open meetings in Lake Worth Beach, Delray Beach and West Palm Beach, all a short drive away.
What if there is no NA meeting in Boynton Beach today?
Widen the search radius to find additional meetings when there is not a meeting on the day you choose. Boynton Beach is between Lake Worth Beach to the north and Delray Beach to the south. These listings appear as soon as you move the search radius past the city line. Either area helpline, (561) 848-6262 for Palm Coast or (561) 393-0303 for MidCoast, can also tell you what is meeting today.
Are NA meetings free?
Yes, NA meetings are free. You are not charged dues or fees. Each group passes a basket to cover rent, coffee and literature. These contributions come from members only. Nothing is expected from someone attending for the first time.
Are there NA meetings in Boynton Beach?
Yes there are NA meetings in Boynton Beach. One active NA meeting is currently listed inside the city limits. However, meeting schedules can change and the finder above also shows meetings in the surrounding towns within the radius you choose. Meeting schedules change, so treat the finder rather than any fixed list as the current source.
Do I have to stop using before I go to a meeting?
No. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop using. People come to meetings while still using, on their first day without drugs, and years into recovery. Taking a prescribed medication for opioid use disorder does not keep you from attending either.
