NA Meetings in McLean, Virginia

Located just oustide the nation’s capital, McLean is home to one NA group. This is common for towns in Northern Viriginia. Locals in recovery often drive to nearby cities to access more meeting options.

Alexandria offers a fuller weekly schedule and is a common option if the McLean group isn’t a good fit. To find more groups in Northern Virginia or throughout the state, you can check the Virginia meeting list.

What an NA Meeting Is Like

Narcotics Anonymous meetings follow a few basic formats. They can either be open (anyone can come) or closed (only for people who want to stop using drugs).

Some meetings allow one person to share their story (speaker meeting), while others allow the group to talk about a specific topic for the hour (discussion meetings). And others are step studies, which walk you through the 12 Steps of NA over several weeks.

The only qualification for any of these meetings is showing up. You don’t have to speak, pay any dues or commit to anything. This is a peer fellowship, not a treatment program.

And if NA doesn’t seem like a good fit, you can consider other  support group options.

Where do calls go?

By calling the helpline you agree to the terms of use. We do not receive any commission or fee that is dependent upon which treatment provider a caller chooses. There is no obligation to enter treatment.

Calls to numbers on a specific treatment center listing will be routed to that treatment center. Calls to any general helpline could be forwarded to SAMHSA or a verified treatment provider.

If you wish to connect with non-sponsor centers, you can browse meetings, visit our homepage and browse by state, or visit SAMHSA.
