Naloxone and Harm Reduction

Naloxone (Narcan) reverses an opioid overdose and is safe to give even when you are not certain opioids are involved. In Ohio you can get it without a prescription, and in and around Columbus it is available free from several places:

• Project DAWN sites: Ohio’s statewide program (Deaths Avoided With Naloxone) provides free naloxone and overdose-response training with no prescription needed. Use the Project DAWN dashboard to find a location.
