De Soto is a lovely city situated in Jefferson County, Missouri, United States. Unfortunately, it is also home to many people affected by drug addiction and substance use disorders. To help overcome these challenges, Narcotics Anonymous (NA) has organized NA meetings in De Soto. These meetings are a subgroup of NA meetings in Missouri and serve as an aftercare program for members who have received formal treatments as well as therapy. These treatments usually start with detoxification and are carried out in inpatient or outpatient facilities. NA meetings use a 12-step format to ensure the full recovery of members until abstinence can be maintained. The meeting environment is made friendly and welcoming and members are encouraged to interact with others, share stories and learn from the experiences of others. There are two types of meetings from which participants can choose from depending on which they consider to be more effective. Open NA meetings allow friends and relatives to join in the meetings to provide extra support, while closed NA meetings are only open to members who struggle with substance use disorders. For help in finding NA meetings near you in De Soto please check out our website at narcotics.com or contact us through our helplines.
