Auburn is a city in eastern Alabama. The best way to stay in recovery from drug use is to practice complete abstinence from drug use, and inhabitants of Auburn who want to give it a try can join NA meetings in Auburn to be part of a community of people who have made the same decision. The goal of the Narcotics Anonymous community is to create an environment where people who are struggling with substance use disorders can support one another. To achieve this goal, the community holds NA meetings in various locations around the world. The first NA meeting was held in Los Angeles several years ago, but there are now many NA meetings in Alabama chapters across the country. The Narcotics Anonymous community does not treat drug dependency or hire consultants to assist its members. Outside issues that are not directly related to the community’s goals are not discussed. When newcomers join the Narcotics Anonymous community, they are urged but not coerced to talk about their substance use disorders struggles. Older members are always willing to assist newcomers for them to feel as if they are a part of the community as quickly as possible. Finding the nearest NA meeting to you may not be as simple as it appears, but we have put together a local NA directory on to assist you.
